The Ozone Hole: We Need More Sunscreen – download pdf (2 MB) May 2020

Sunscreen protects us from the sunny skies of summer, but high up in the atmosphere Earth has its own solar shield, a layer of ozone. However, a hole in that layer is making it easier to get sunburned.

There is good news! EO Kids is exploring how the hole in the ozone layer is shrinking in, “The Ozone Hole: We Need More Sunscreen.” Plus, make your own map of the ozone hole using NASA data in the “Data Viz” activity, “Mapping Ozone.”
