Acquired June 6, 2010, this natural-color image shows a thick, brown plume from Gaua Volcano in the north, and a faint, blue-gray plume from Ambrym in the south.
This true-color image from July 27, 2009, shows a plume blowing toward the northwest from Batu Tara. The distinct segments of the plume suggest that it was released in pulses of volcanic activity.
