Dust Above the Red Sea

On June 27, 2017, the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this natural-color image of a dust plume blowing over the Red Sea. Fine sediment in this area frequently lofts into the air and above the water.
