Early November Snow Coats the Midwest

On November 7, 2019, the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) onboard NASA’s Terra satellite acquired this snowy view of the Upper Midwest of the United States. News outlets reported several inches of fresh snowfall over the past 24 hours in Minnesota and Iowa, creating slick roads in many areas. The National Weather Prediction Service forecasted below-normal temperatures across the nation through November 9.
