In 1999, NASA’s Web presence included little public-friendly information on the agency’s important Earth and climate science research; into that gap stepped the Earth Observatory, a Website inspired and supported by the science community itself. On our 10th anniversary, some of the site’s founders and current staff talk about how the Earth Observatory got started and what the project is trying to achieve.
