The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Aqua satellite captured this image of snow blanketing some of the northeastern United States following a blizzard on January 26-27.

January 2015 Nor’easter

Blizzard conditions dropped several feet of snow and brought hurricane-force wind gusts to much of the Northeastern United States. The Mid-Atlantic, however, saw much less snow than forecast.
