Plumes from Gaua and Ambrym Volcanoes
A plume from an active volcano in the Vanuatu archipelago extended over the South Pacific Ocean.
Acquired June 6, 2010, this natural-color image shows a thick, brown plume from Gaua Volcano in the north, and a faint, blue-gray plume from Ambrym in the south.
