Dust Storm Off Southern Coast of Iceland

The Moderate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), flying aboard NASA’s Terra satellite, captured this true-color image of Iceland on January 28, 2002. There appear to be large plumes of brownish dust blowing out over the North Atlantic from Iceland’s southern coast.
