Cyclone Chapala Nears Arabian Peninsula

At 10:50 a.m. local time (06:50 Universal Time) on October 31, 2015, the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite captured this natural-color image of Cyclone Chapala as it neared the Arabian Peninsula. At the time, the storm’s maximum sustained winds were 115 knots (130 miles or 215 kilometers per hour). That’s a slight weakening since October 30, but the storm still maintained category 4 status.
