African Dust Reaches Northern Europe

African dust still hangs over Europe and the Atlantic Ocean on April 17, 2003. This image of the region was captured by the Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-View Sensor (SeaWiFS), and shows the thickest dust concentrated over the North Sea, northwest of image center. The North Sea lies between the United Kingdom (west), Norway and Sweden (north), and Denmark (east).
