I recently discovered this underground fire and I am truly astonished, not only because it has been burning for so long, but also because no one seems to know the extent of the damage it has done, is doing and will do! Moreover, after looking into this matter I discovered that there are many fires burning underground all over the world in varying magnitudes! Maybe we don't like to talk much about those things that we can't do much about, however it appears to me that this is one of those things that we should be talking about often and loudly in hopes that some "nobody" thinks of a way to extinguish them and prevent others from starting!

Actually darvaja ( door or gate ) is an Urdu ( Arebian ) word which is also used in Hindi language very commonly. If the name of this place is Darvaja then it is clear that this burning might have taken place earlier too ( say 3000 years back !!!). Probably since then, the name of this place was named Darvaja ( of hell )
Jesse please continue to tell us such mysterious things.

It is an interesting article which I did not know previously.

Derweze means Darvaza in Russian; Gate in English.
In HINDI DARVAZA means Door or Gate.

This appears more interesting for me, as humans have the same tongue, isn't it?

Thank you, GOD bless you all.
