Dust Cloud over Sea of Japan

Dust (brownish pixels) continues to blow from East Asia eastward over the Sea of Japan. There is also considerable haze (greyish pixels) evident over eastern China in the lower lefthand corner of this scene. This true-color image was acquired by the Moderate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), flying aboard NASA’s Terra satellite, on April 1, 2002.
