Smoke Plume from Mt. Etna

Italy’s snow-capped Mount Etna was sending a faint, thin smoke plume emanating eastward on February 28, 2002. This true-color image was acquired by the Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor (SeaWiFS), flying aboard the Orbview-2 satellite.
