Dust over Eastern China

Dust over Eastern China

Dust that hovered over eastern China the day before continued moving east on March 16, 2009. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite took this picture the same day, chronicling the dust’s eastward journey. In this image, a large, diffuse plume of dust blows over the Korean Peninsula and continues toward Japan.
