Dust Storm over Morocco

Dust Storm over Morocco

Some plumes of dust (brownish pixels) were visible to the Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-View Sensor (SeaWiFS) on December 22, 2002, blowing toward the northwest from Morocco.

There are also many linear cloud features over the Iberian Peninsula and Atlantic Ocean in the center of this image that look like they might be airplane contrails.
